This CAT 793 tray came into the Westhill workshop with widespread cracking and mechanical damage identified across multiple areas of the asset. The initial inspection confirmed a substantial repair scope, with 34,530 mm of indications recorded across the tray.
The tray showed extensive wear across key sections, including the side walls, front wall, canopy and floor. Findings were recorded across multiple major areas of the asset, with the largest concentration identified on the floor underside alone.
This was not a minor repair. It was the kind of job that required real workshop capability, a methodical approach and a team able to work through a significant scope properly.
Westhill completed the repair work in-house, applying its workshop capability to restore the tray and address the identified damage. Projects like this reflect Westhill’s ability to take on substantial heavy repair work with practical problem-solving, controlled delivery and a strong standard of workmanship.
More than just labour, this is the kind of project that demonstrates the value of proven in-house capability — the ability to manage complex repair work properly from start to finish.
The before and after images show the transformation clearly. What arrived in heavily worn condition left the workshop in a significantly improved state, reflecting the quality of work Westhill brings to heavy equipment repairs.
